Book Week Parade 2018

The theme for this year’s Book Week is Find Your Treasure. It was great to see all students and staff dressed up for our annual Book Week Parade. I am sure you will all agree they look great and had a wonderful time. Thank you to all the parents for going to the extra effort in making this a memorable day - this is greatly appreciated.

Quiz Night

Last Friday night the music-themed Quiz Night was held at the school library involving the Year 4 to Year 6 students.  It was a fantastic event ably hosted by a costumed Mr Paljetak and Mr Walley, for which the P&F extends many thanks for giving up their time.  Much appreciation and thanks also go to the Class Rep organisers of the event, particularly Karen Herbert, and to Mrs Luckens, Mr Hughes, Mr Burnett, Adele, Leanne, Kelly, Kasia, Jacinta, Elly, Renae and Andrea for helping out on the night.

School is music to Sophie's ears

Like most little girls, Sophie Ardagh used to adore dancing around when the credits rolled after a favourite TV show.

Until she was 18 months old, it was one of many things Sophie did that led her parents to believe she was perfectly healthy and normal.

Unknown to them, however, Sophie took her cues visually through watching other children and was in fact born profoundly deaf.
